"YouTube Farmer": Video Downloader for macOS



"Youtube Farmer" is a small tool I designed in my spare time. If you ever need to download a video from youtube, you know that it always involves visiting third-party websites that convert your video and decrease its final quality. These websites are also filled with ads. So, to make the whole process convenient for myself, I designed Youtube Farmer. It's a pretty handy tool, so I decided to put it out here, free of charge, for everyone to use. Feel free to share the app with your friends.

  • It features a graphical user interface (GUI)
  • 64bit Architecture
  • It is ad-free
  • By default, it downloads the best quality file available for your video
  • It was designed using macOS' native Automator compiler (no adware/malware) [source code/schematics]
  • It is small in size (under 4 MBs)
  • Under the hood, it takes advantage of the latest Youtube download algorithms
  • Important:
    1. It only works for public Youtube videos
    2. Requires macOS Mojave (or later)
